Background

In the heart of Kampala, Uganda, within the slums of Kawempe Division, a young boy named Ssemuddu Arnold Brian grew up amidst the harsh realities of extreme poverty. His childhood was marked by hunger, hopelessness, and uncertainty. Many around him struggled to access education, basic healthcare, and even a daily meal. Worst of all, many children felt unloved and forgotten.

But God had a greater plan.

Through the kindness of a charity organization, Arnold’s life took a new turn. A sponsor stepped in, offering not only financial support but also love, care, and hope for a better future. This experience planted a seed in his heart, a deep desire to extend the same kindness to other vulnerable children and families.

Driven by this passion, El-Shaddai Grace Mission Uganda was born in 2023. With the support of dedicated friends and partners, the organization was officially registered to serve as a vessel of God’s love, bringing hope and transformation to those in need. Today, the mission has reached over 2,000 families, providing hot meals, education support for 300 children, and medical care for over 200 children and women across different communities in Uganda. Through weekly food baskets, hygiene initiatives, and faith-based mentorship, the organization is breaking cycles of poverty and shining the light of Christ in forgotten places.

Our Mission

As a Christian charity organization, we are dedicated to extending the love and compassion of Christ to underprivileged children and women, providing them with holistic support and spiritual nourishment. Our mission is to offer comprehensive care, including basic needs such as food, clothing, education, and healthcare, while fostering spiritual growth and empowerment. Grounded in faith, we strive to restore dignity, alleviate suffering, and equip individuals with the opportunities, resources, and hope needed to rebuild their lives with purpose.

Through outreach programs and strategic partnerships, we strive to not only meet immediate needs but also create long-term transformation- empowering individuals to thrive economically, socially, and spiritually.
